King Edward Memorial Hospital is WA’s tertiary referral centre for complex pregnancies and high-risk birth.
It offers world-class care and wide-ranging support services to WA women with complicated pregnancies and infants born prematurely.
King Edward Memorial Hospital also accepts women with low-risk pregnancies who live in the local area.
Women with a low-risk pregnancy who wish to receive maternity care at King Edward Memorial Hospital must live within the following postcodes:

- 15 modern birthing suites, 13 with ensuites
- deep baths for pain management during labour
- 3 dedicated maternity wards
- 80 cot neonatal nursery
- Family Birth Centre on site for low-risk pregnancy and birth.

King Edward Memorial Hospital is a teaching hospital and helps train WA's future health professionals.
