Free influenza vaccines in May and June

4 April 2025

Fighting influenza starts with you. The best way to protect yourself and your family is with an influenza vaccine – free for all Western Australians over 6 months of age throughout May and June.

Getting immunised during these months will provide the best protection during the peak period of influenza transmission.

Influenza is a common, highly contagious and potentially serious viral respiratory illness.  Seasonal vaccination is the most effective means to prevent influenza and its complications.

As influenza viruses change, an influenza shot is needed every year to keep up with the circulating viruses.

Book an appointment at a participating GP, Aboriginal Medical Service or community health clinic (for people 6 months and over) or pharmacy (for people 5 years and over).

While the vaccine is free, individual providers may charge a consultation or service fee. Participating pharmacies will not charge a consultation or service fee. Make sure you check costs when booking your appointment.
