Thriving Kids family and children support program now available
1 October 2026
Young children with developmental delay and/or autism with low to moderate support needs will now have access to a range of new services thanks to the Thriving Kids Family and Children Support Program.
A national reform being led by Department of Communities in WA, Thriving Kids will provide accessible, high quality, and culturally safe services to help families, carers, and kin strengthen their knowledge, skills, and confidence to support their children.
The new supports and services are available to children aged 0-8 years and will roll out progressively from 1 October 2026 through to January 2028.
Guided by early childhood intervention best practice which emphasises family-centred approaches, the Thriving Kids services will be delivered state-wide in places where children and families live, learn, and play.
Eligible families and carers are encouraged to access Thriving Kids Connect WA (TK Connect WA) to learn more about the full range of supports on offer.
